
Our Story
Jonathan and Anne served for 13 years as senior pastors of a PAOC Church in Drummondville, Quebec, after pastoring for 7 years in France. Dr. Bersot was also the Academic Dean of the Institut Biblique du Québec (IBQ) from 2011 to 2020 (ibq.ca), and currently serves as the President, even from Togo.
Jonathan and Anne are parents of three adult daughters. All three are involved in ministry. Anne and Jonathan are grandparents to two grandchildren.
Jonathan and Anne fully embraced their calling by moving to Lomé and are now more actively involved in the training of French-speaking Africa’s church leaders who come to WAAST to start their masters or doctoral training.
Since 2009, Jonathan has been teaching pastors, teachers, Bible School directors and leaders of national movements from over twenty French-speaking African countries. Anne and Jonathan have lived in Lomé since 2021.
Did you know?
Jonathan was born and raised in Senegal, Africa. Anne and Jonathan first served in the French Assemblies of God and moved to Canada in 2002 with the initial goal to complete their theological education in order to teach in Africa. Since 2009, Jonathan has been fulfilling his call, teaching once or twice a year in French Africa. He has already travelled to and ministered in Senegal, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Benin, RD Congo, Gabon, Morocco and Togo.
